Now, of course, some people are going to say just Sauvage Eau de Toilette, in general, is what smells closest to Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir, and I’m not going to argue that because, frankly, Dior Sauvage Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum are both pretty similar.
There are differences, of course, but they’re not so different where you can’t mistake one for the other.
In the air, it smells a bit like Sauvage Eau de Parfum but not as metallic with the Ambroxan, not as aggressive. It’s a little bit smoother, and it has that kind of vanilla, slight dusty sweet sweetness underneath everything.
Now, when you look at the note breakdown that they have online for Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir, vanilla is not a note on there, but I definitely get that kind of vibe.
This is why I’m drawing more of a similarity to Sauvage Eau de Parfum compared to Sauvage Eau de Toilette, due to that additional vanilla.
I picked it up in Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir, and it’s not just Sauvage Eau de Parfum here. It has faint bits and pieces reminiscent of Creed Aventus— not a full-on pineapple note, but maybe a hint of that vibe, possibly from the bergamot note in the opening.
More so, there's a bit of black currant with a slight tart fruitiness mixed with bergamot, giving it a faint Aventus-like vibe around the edges of the scent.
The bergamot in the opening provides a subtle pineappley undertone, harking back to Creed Aventus.
To be fair, the concept of blending Sauvage and Aventus into a fragrance has been executed before, and it's been successful.
